You can’t say you like Mexican food if you haven’t had a good torta – and where do you find a really good torta? Manny’s Tortas, of course! Manny’s Special torta has been named Best Sandwich by The Daily Meal in “The Best Food and Drink in Minnesota for 2019.”
According to Spoon University, “Imagine that a sandwich and a taco got married and had a kid. That kid would be named Torta.” What that means is take a delicious torta roll and put any combination of meat ( steak, pork or chicken), veggies ( onions, tomatoes or jalapenos), cheeses and sauces inside – and open wide.
We don’t limit our menu to gourmet Mexican sandwiches. We’re all about bringing together both Mexican and American cultures. There is something for everyone at Manny’s. You can start off with appetizers, move on to a variety of tortas, salads, and beverages and finish with one of our 5-star desserts.
The short answer is: Yes! To expand on that, we can bring Tortas Box Lunches or a Tortas Buffet. Just tell us how many and where. We also have a Tortas Tray, a Salad Tray, and a Mini Desserts Tray. Each tray serves 10-12 people.
Manny’s Tortas was opened and is run by Manuel Gonzalez and his sister, Victoria. After graduating from culinary school in Mexico, Manuel worked as a Chef in the Twin Cities area at restaurants and a catering business. Victoria has had many years’ experience in business consulting and hospitality management. Manny’s Tortas was one of the first restaurants to open in 1999, in the Mercado Central building, which was part of the Latino Business Development Project.
